May 26 Event: First Nations First (PDAC Workshop)

The JETAA Québec/Atlantique Executive Committee and the Montreal JET Desk are pleased to announce a new and exciting PDAC event!

As unofficial ambassadors of Canada who endeavor to share Canadian culture with Japanese students, colleagues, and friends, JETs realize that they need to learn a lot more about First Nations first, in order to deepen their understanding of the First Nations people and culture.

To help the JET family create a bond with First Nations people and culture, JETAA Q/A has organized, with the support of the Montreal JET Desk, a visit to the local community of Odanak for a culture-sharing session hosted by Abenaki Anthropologist Nicole O’Bomsawin.

Current JET Candidates, JET Alumni, and JSAA Q/A Members are encouraged to partake in this unique experience!

Note that this event is also open to plus-ones (family or friends) of the above, if space allows.
