In addition to attending our AGM, please consider getting involved in the JETAA Q/A Executive committee. Getting to interact with new and former JETs, and supporting the local Japanese community is great fun: the more , the merrier!
Any level of involvement is welcome and appreciated: a team of annual executive positions and collaborative seasonal support positions ensure that management, operations, and events can run smoothly. Certain conditions apply for signatory positions.
Do not shy away from fear or lack of experience: former execs, committee mentors, and the Montreal JET Desk will be happy to give you their support.
Your 2019 Executive Committee
For our summer Japan Book Club, we turned our attention to Masks by Enchi Fumiko, a landmark work by one of the major Japanese women writers of the 20th century. Over a discussion of Noh theater masks, the Tale of Genji, religion, the role of women in Japanese society, and the life of Enchi herself, we enjoyed Japanese snacks and the black sesame baking prowess of one of our club members!
The 2019 Montreal Off-Weekend Orientation for Departing JETs and JET Hopefuls will take place on Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14 at Thomson House.
